IT'S FRIDAY, FRIDAY, GOTTA GET DOWN ON...
I'm done I swear.
Question: What book or books would you be nervous to see as a movie adaptation because you believe the movie could never live up to the book?
Well, one that's coming up would be the first Mortal Instruments movie, City of Bones. I love that series, and I really hope that the movie stays on track with the books. They did a really great job of following the books in the Hunger Games movie, so I hope they can do the same for CoB. I love the cast so far, so hopefully it doesn't disappoint!
Anyways, if you aren't too busy, check out my post, Things Bibliophiles Do ! I'm trying to get some more suggestions so I can turn it into "100 Things Bibliophiles Do". Pretty please leave a comment? :) Also, If you follow me in more than one way (GFC, Linky, Networked) le t me know and I'll be sure to follow back in all the same ways. Have a great weekend guys!
Thanks for stopping by :-) Following back!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree about MI series. I would be afraid to se what would they do with Morganville Vampires - that's my favorite!

Great series - although there is no way it would turn into a very good movie. GREAT post!
ReplyDeleteHappy Follow Friday!
Thanks for stopping by! I would have to say that I am pretty nervous about TMI movie. Isn't Alex Pettyfer supposed to be Jace? I don't know, can't remember and I just don't want to Google it lol. It also makes me nervous that it has been in the talks for so long. I fear that means either really good or "we've tried but here is what you get" terrible.

Hey thanks for the follow! Just checked your blog - it seems we are on the same page. I am nervous about the Mortal Inst. movie. When I saw who was Jace I was already let down... not enough of a hottie for me!
ReplyDeleteI just picked up Clockwork Angel the other day. I can't wait to read it. Finally... I have yet to read City of Bones. :O! I'll borrow it from my cousin. (I bought them for her) hehe

I picked that one too! But I'm more nervous about Jamie Bower playing Jace... I wanted Alex Pettyfer to do it lol.

I have mixed feelings about CoB. I really want to see it... but I'm kind of afraid, too. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and following! Returned :)
ReplyDeleteI agree about the City of Bones movie. I really hope that they don't screw it up. It's one of my favorite series, and I'll be really disappointed if they don't make it by the book.
I've had the City of Bones on my shelves for ages and I still haven't read one! I must pick it up soon. :D

I agree, but I'm also afraid of a film adaptation of THE NIGHT CIRCUS. It's such a visual book, it'd probably translate really well on screen... but the language in that book is the best part! I follow you on GFC too btw. :)
